The Bhagavat Gita, often called the “Song of God,” is a timeless dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, set on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Composed in Sanskrit as part of the Mahabharata by sage Ved Vyasa, it is revered as one of the most important scriptures of Hindu philosophy.
Consisting of 18 chapters and 700 verses, the Gita addresses the deepest questions of life, duty, devotion, and self-realization. It blends the paths of karma (action), bhakti (devotion), jnana (knowledge), and dhyana (meditation), showing how each leads to the divine when performed with surrender.
Across centuries, saints and teachers have drawn from the Gita to guide humanity, presenting its message of righteousness, balance, and inner strength. More than just scripture, it is a manual for living a purposeful life, relevant for both spiritual seekers and those engaged in worldly duties.
